Tahanan Sta. Luisa is on a mission to support street girls through their pains and help them heal from the trauma of abuse.
Art therapy has proven very effective in helping our girls heal from the trauma of abuse. And they sure have been putting their creative skills to good use.
We still have a long way to go in eliminating violence against women and children. But even small acts of kindness can help strengthen efforts to promote women’s and children’s rights.
After nearly two years of online classes, our girls are very thankful to return to the classroom and learn side by side with their peers and friends.
The girls of Tahanan Sta. Luisa are becoming experts at transplanting leafy greens and making simple meals using their very own harvest.
Our girls at Tahanan get to experience all the wonders of organic urban farming and horticultural therapy.
During the awarding ceremonies last December, the organizers lauded Tahanan for being an outstanding organization that takes part in protecting and providing support services for women and girls. Tahanan is a crisis intervention center for young girls who have experienced abuse.
